This qualification reflects the role of entry-level community services workers who support individuals through the provision of person-centred services. Work may include day-to-day support of individuals in community settings or support the implementation of specific community-based programs.
At this level, work takes place under the direction of others and supervision may be direct or indirect. Work may take place in a range of community services organisations.
This qualification applies to community work delivered through a broad range of services which provide support to individuals and groups. This level is appropriate for support workers acting under the supervision of more experienced staff. You’ll learn effective communication strategies, gain cultural awareness, and skills in advocacy to be able to provide emotional and practical support to clients, including initiating referrals.

Bradford Institute of Advanced Education is a specialist training provider with training team of experienced community service professionals. Through this team of industry professionals, you have the opportunity to achieve a nationally accredited qualification — CHC40313 Certificate IV in Child Youth and Family Intervention. Successful candidates will need to complete 16 units of competency comprising 10 mandatory core and 6 elective units. Elective units have been chosen to meet industry standards. Students wishing to specialise can select 2 specialised electives as specified below.
